The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it truly is alarmed regarding the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The service point established for intervention activities a superior inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to SRD all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to allow the servicing of all prospects and enhance access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
